Lead Teacher for Two Year-Old Class Needed for First Steps Program: First Presbyterian Church seeks to hire a second lead teacher to expand our program to include two year-olds for three or four days a week instead of one. First Steps began last fall. It is a childcare program that nurtures the spiritual and social lives of toddlers. If you are interested in learning more about the position and the program, please contact Griff Gatewood (email@example.com) or Amy Heath (firstname.lastname@example.org).
BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS
Church Landscaping Day: Will be held on Saturday, April 8th, beginning at 8:00 a.m. We will spend the morning working around the outside of the church, beautifying the grounds in preparation of Easter. Join us!
Service Saturdays: Mark your calendars for April 1st at 9:00 a.m. We will be participating in some team-building activities, playing games and doing some repair work at the Children’s Center. For more information, see Blanton Youell. There is a sign-up sheet in the upstairs foyer for anyone that is interested.
Items for Yokefellow and the Shepherd’s House: We have an ongoing collection for both of these agencies. There is a basket in the upstairs foyer for Yokefellow and there are bins in the downstairs entrance for each. Please drop off any non-perishable goods in these locations. There are lists of the items that are most needed. Help us help those in our community!
Mayberry Food Truck Fest: Got plans for lunch? Take a walk downtown today and eat at one of the many food trucks serving lunch along Main Street. The event lasts fromnoon until five. There will be great food and great music and pretty good people. Our own, Lizzie Morrison, has spearheaded making this even happen.
