FINANCIAL UPDATE
Jan-May 2019 Jan-May 2018
Income $90,704.37 $101,823.30
Expenses $83,854.83 $96,185.71
Financial resources are not our mission, but they are the fuel that propels the mission.  -Cliff Christopher

The Budget Committee would like to provide the congregation a brief summary of our finances in the first several months of the year. Our finances are in good shape, due to your faithfulness and generosity.  Our income exceeds our expenses. Our year to this point has been full of worship as we have observed Lenten Bible studies on Wednesday evenings, gathered on Sunday mornings and worshipped our Resurrected Lord on Easter morning. Your tithes and offerings have turned on the lights, allowed us to welcome new staff, provided meals for the hungry and allowed God’s name to be praised. As our summer unfolds, we celebrate the 40 plus kids and amazing volunteers at VBS, and high school and college graduations.  We look forward to middle and high school retreats, Bible studies and numerous other activities within the life of the church.

RENEW CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

Thanks to so many who have so generously committed to RENEW, our capital campaign.  If you have not taken the opportunity to make a commitment, please consider doing so by praying: LORD, WHAT WOULD YOU DO THROUGH ME?  Brochures and cards are available in the sanctuary.  If you have prayerfully decided not to make a commitment to the campaign, please let us know by filling out a form and zeroing out the amount.  Many folks give generously and do not have the capacity for giving above and beyond their regular giving.

As you give towards RENEW, please keep any offering for the RENEW separate from your regular tithe and offering. Thank you!

CELEBRATIONS

Birthdays: 6/30: Courtney Chilton Pike; 7/5: Valerie Parker

Every night the children got to spend a wonderful time together — singing new songs, doing fun activities, playing games and learning about Jesus’ love for us and one another! We cannot wait until next year! We had the MOST amazing team of teachers and volunteers – from ages 12 to 86 – who made this great event possible! A BIG thank you to each of them for giving of their time and talents to help make our VBS such a GREAT success!

If you have not taken the opportunity to make a commitment, please consider doing so by praying: LORD, WHAT WOULD YOU DO THROUGH ME? Brochures and cards are available in the sanctuary. Today we will receive our First Fruits Offering. This is a time to make a first payment towards your commitment if you already haven’t done so. A First Fruit Offering is a requirement by God of his people, Israel. As the name suggests, it is any fruit or grain harvest that ripens the earliest. This offering is regarded as a down payment guaranteeing God’s richest blessings upon the remaining harvest and should be given before the rest of the harvest is taken. As you give towards RENEW, please keep any offering for the RENEW separate from your regular tithe and offering. Thank you!
