Service Saturday UPDATE

Hey folks,
The Missions Team wanted to update you on the September Service Saturday and an upcoming service opportunity for the month of October.

  1. The Service Saturday scheduled for this Saturday, September 24th at the Surry Children’s Center has been POSTPONED until February.
  2. Most of us celebrate the cooler temperatures moving in and anticipate colder days and nights ahead. When the temps drop most of us will simply go to our closet and choose from an array of warm clothes and coats. Unfortunately this is not the case for many people in our community. This is where we come in and can make a HUGE difference. During the month of October the Missions Team will be collecting your gently used or even new coats for children and adults. At the end of the month all the collected coats will be distributed to various agencies and schools in our community that will get them into the hands of those in need. In the Gospel of Luke, John the Baptist tells his followers, “If you have two coats give one away.” (Luke 3:11).  So go see what’s hiding in your closet and start bringing them by the church during October.
