Get Ready! Get Set! Worship! This group will be heading to the NC Museum of Art on Tuesday, June 28th to explore faith in art & do some art of their own. Bring money for lunch. Friends are welcome. Let Shasta know by tomorrow, Monday, June 27th, if you’re planning to go. We will leave the church at 9:00 a.m.

Beacons to Emerald Pointe: (6th-12th grade) Wednesday, June 29th; Bring your friends and let’s spend the day in the sun and water! Cost is $28 per person (if we have a group of 15 – cost goes up otherwise). Food is extra. If you are planning to join us, today is the deadline to sign up and pay.

Faith Friends to the Movies: (Preschool-Kindergarten) We will be going to the summer movies @ Creekside Cinema. Meet at the church at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 23rd. Bring money for snacks if you wish to purchase any.

Answering God: Join Griff in reading Answering God: The Psalms as Tools for Prayer this summer. Copies are available on the piano in the Koinonia Room and cost $8 each.

URGENT!! WE NEED YOU! Blood donations are expected to be at an all-time low over the summer. In an effort to help AND live out our faith, we will be sponsoring a Blood Drive on Thursday, July 14th from 2-6. Email Shasta at bodesoda2@gmail.com to sign up to give blood and HELP SAVE LIVES!!

Offering for Hunger and Hope: Next Sunday, July 3rd, we will receive our Pennies for Hunger and Yokefellow food offerings. The foods for the month of July are: Cooking Oil and Canned Fruit.

Summer Beacons: (6th-12th grade) Wednesday, June 22nd, 6:00 p.m. We’ll meet at Mount Airy Lanes for an evening of fun and bowling. Parents, siblings and friends are welcome to come too. Eat dinner before you come and bring money for bowling and shoes. Pickup is at 8:00 p.m.

Bob Chilton Memorial Bible Study: Thursday, June 23rd, 8:00 a.m. at Pages Bookstore. Join us for coffee, Bible study and fellowship.

CHURCH MINISTRIES

The Flowers in the Church today are given to the Glory of God and in loving memory and thanksgiving for the life of Ronella Goad on her birthday, June 17th, by her daughters, Mary Ellen Goad and Debbie Benge.

Winston-Salem Dash Ballgame: Friday, June 17th, 5:00 p.m. We will be meeting at the ballpark in W-S for a night of baseball, food and fireworks to cap off the week of VBS. If you ordered tickets and are planning to go and have not paid, please give your money to Shasta today.

New Address/Phone for Octavia Edwards: Octavia is currently staying with her daughter, Diana Smith. The address is: 1341 Highway 770 in Sandy Ridge, 27406. She can be reached by phone at: 336-871-9993. We are sure she would love to hear from her church family!

Each meets at 9:45 a.m. We have the Odds and Ends Class that meets in the Odds and Ends Room upstairs; the Hebrews Study that meets in the Fellowship Hall and the Snell Williamson Ladies Class that meets in the Ladies Parlor. *During the summer, the Ladies Class is taking part in the Hebrews study.

CHURCH MINISTRIES

The Flowers in the Church today are given to the Glory of God and in honor of our graduates, Taylor Bouma, Matthew Eads, Dalton Mayes, Jack McCluskey and Aimy McCrosky.

Circle 1: Will meet on Tuesday, June 7th, at 10:00 a.m. in the Card Room at Ridgecrest Retirement Center.

Faith Friends: (Preschool-5th grade) Will meet on Tuesday, June 7th, at 3:30 p.m. We will be making something special for Dad for Father’s Day so NO DADS ALLOWED that day. Let Shasta know if you will be there.

Summer Beacons: (6th grade & up) We’ll meet at Westwood park on Wednesday, June 8th, at 6:00. This is for Beacons, their parents and siblings. Bring a picnic and join us! Afterwards, we’ll “take on the Baptists” in a game of kickball. This will also be Steve’s (FBC’s youth leader) last week before he takes a new call so we’ll spend some time together & wish him well in his new adventure. Let Shasta know if you’re coming.

Get Ready! Get Set! Worship! Field Trip to Tiger Rescue: Meet at the church on Friday, June 10th, at 7:45 a.m. and we’ll head to Pittsboro to tour the Tiger Rescue Center.
