CHURCH MINISTRIES

Congregational Meeting Postponed: The meeting set for today has been postponed until a later date. We regret this, but it is all weather-related. Our pastoral candidate was to have met with the Examinations Committee of Salem Presbytery on Thursday, the last step in our Presbyterian call process. Because of the snow and inclement weather, that meeting was cancelled. When that meeting is held, and the way is clear for us to reschedule the Congregational Meeting to hear the PNC’s recommendation and vote on calling our new pastor, we will let you know.

Variety Show Acts: Please meet in the sanctuary today at 4:30 for a brief sound check. Please bring any recorded music you may be using on either an iPod, phone or flash drive.

FPC Variety Show & Dinner: Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m.; If you plan to attend the dinner, please make sure you let Shasta know today after the worship service.

Circle 1: Will meet on Tuesday, March 3, at 10:00 a.m. in the Ladies Parlor.

Lenten Study: The study based on Marjorie Thompson’s book, Forgiveness, begins on Wednesday, March 4th. We still have room & books for a few more folks. We will meet in the Ladies Parlor from 11:00 a.m. – 12:0o noon. Rob will lead the study. Participants may pick up their books today from Rob. Cost is $12.00.

Bob Chilton Bible Study: Thursday, March 5th; 8:00 a.m. at Pages Bookstore.

Handbells: We will meet on Wednesday evenings prior to choir practice at 6:00 p.m. Sign up on the board in the upstairs foyer or see Anna Bush for details.

NO CONGREGATIONAL MEETING THIS SUNDAY, MARCH 1

Please be informed that the Congregational Meeting set for this Sunday, March 1 has been postponed until a later date. We regret this, but it is all weather-related. Our pastoral candidate was to have met with the Examinations Committee of Salem Presbytery on Thursday, the last step in our Presbyterian call process. Because of the snow and inclement weather, that meeting was canceled. When that meeting is held, and the way is clear for us to reschedule the Congregational Meeting to hear the PNC’s recommendation and vote on calling our new pastor, we will let you know. To use the good Presbyterian term, “we were providentially hindered!”

Everyone stay warm. As of now, all other Sunday activities will be held as scheduled. If there is any change, we will let you know!!

Grace & Peace!
