News from the PNC

To our First Presbyterian Church Family:

As we move forward in Advent, the Pastor Nominating Committee is also moving forward in our search for a new Pastor. We want you all to know that we appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this search and we appreciate your prayers. We have reviewed many resumes and we have interviewed several of these candidates. This is a time-consuming process, but we have now narrowed the list to just a handful. We feel we are getting close. It has been amazing to see God at work in this process! We continue to meet, working to discern God’s will for us.

Please remember that calling a pastor means we have to work closely with the Presbytery’s Committee on Ministry, so there are several steps yet to complete. We remain optimistic that things will fall into place in the first few months of the new year.

We will keep you updated.  Please continue to pray for us and our church.

Yours in Grace and Peace,
Margaret, Sylvia, Derek, Jessica, Dalton, Pete, Blanton
