Death of Harold Warren

The sympathy of the congregation today is extended to the family of Harold Warren.  Harold died this morning at the Hospice Home in Dobson.

A visitation for the family will be held in the sanctuary of our church at 2pm this Sunday, April 3.  A Service of Witness to the Resurrection will take place at 3pm.  Following the service, a graveside service will be held at New Hope Baptist Church in Dobson.

Our Lenten Bible study series begins tomorrow, March 16, with dinner at 5:45pm and Bible study beginning at 6:30. So come join us as we grow in our relationship with God and each other!

Preschool – 5th Grade: “Building Blocks of Faith”
Through stories, crafts, movies, hands on experiences and more we will learn about the basic blocks of our faith. Your kids will have an amazing time learning during this season of Lent, while laughing and playing at the same time!

Beacons: “Faces of Lent”
During this Lenten season, the Beacons will explore in words, art, music and more some of the key people in the Lenten story – the Power Brokers, the Disciples, Bystanders and the Romans – just to name a few. This is going to be a great time.  Hope you will join us!

Adults: “Living in the Kingdom”
The Kingdom of God is what God wants for the world – the fulfillment of God’s purposes. The Bible describes the kingdom of God as a new social order grounded in justice, mercy, righteousness, generosity, peace and equality – not to mention neighbor love, good health, glad rejoicing and rousing parties! Join Steve for our Lenten Bible study as we consider stories and scriptures from the Old and New Testament to explore how we can live into God’s Kingdom!”

In order to plan properly for the meals and classes, please sign up on the Christian Education bulletin board if you plan to attend. The cost of dinner is $5 for adults and children 6th grade and up $3 for children 5th grade and under.
