Church-wide cleanup day this Saturday

As mentioned last week, the church-wide cleanup day has been reschedule for this Saturday, Oct. 23rd from 9am-noon.  Our main task will be moving this pile of mulch that currently resides in our parking lot…..

….to all the flower beds and other places on the church property that need it.

So we need you to come this Saturday morning with shovels and pitchforks, wheelbarrows if you have them.  Most of all, though, we need YOU!  We guarantee you’ll get some exercise, you’ll have some great fellowship, and you’ll gain the satisfaction of knowing you’ve done your part to help in the upkeep of God’s church!

See you then!

800 pumpkins, that’s what!

As the Beacons have done for years, pumpkins will be sold at our church during the Autumn Leaves Festival.  They are able to get these pumpkins for free, so what they sell is pure profit.  Which is a great thing, since 100% of the money raised from pumpkin sales goes toward our church’s annual Thanksgiving meals ministry, providing complete Thanksgiving meals for needy families in our community.

So make sure you swing by the church over the weekend and pick up some pumpkins.  It’ll help decorate your home for Fall, and it’ll help provide a great Thanksgiving meal to some folks who otherwise wouldn’t have one.  And please spread the word by forwarding this email to your family and friends, posting an update on your Facebook page, etc.

Together we really can make a difference!
