CHURCH MINISTRIES

Scout Hut Study Group: Will have its first meeting today from 3:00-4:30 p.m. in the Scout Hut.  The following people have agreed to be a part of the group: David Beal, Julia Ann Banfield, Sam Brown, Linda Gatchel, Timmesa Eads, and Beth Pequeno.

Confirmation Meeting: All confirmands and their mentors should plan to meet in the sanctuary at 4:30 p.m. today.

Beacons: Will meet in the Lighthouse this evening at 5:30 p.m.  Shasta needs a volunteer to prepare dinner.  See her if you’re willing.

Year-End Contribution Statements for 2011: Can be found in the box on the table in the upstairs foyer.  They are listed alphabetically.  If not picked up after 3 weeks, they will be mailed.

Offering Envelopes: If you are in need of a box of offering envelopes, please let Lynn in the church office know.  There are some loose envelopes in a box on the table in the upstairs foyer, if you wish to use them.

Flowers for Worship: There are several Sundays available, if you would like to provide flowers for an upcoming date for worship.  Please sign up on the board in the upstairs foyer or contact Lynn in the church office.

Inclement Weather Policy: It is our intention that all church activities take place as scheduled.  However, at times, that is not possible.  If activities are postponed or cancelled, they will be listed on WXII Channel 12 – or via the Online Grapevine, Facebook and/or the church website.

Super Bowl Lunch & Bowl Auction: Immediately following worship on Sunday, February 5th.  Donations will be accepted for the lunch.  A silent auction will be held for handmade bowls made by the Beacons. Proceeds will go towards summer trips for the Beacons.

WITNESS

Friends Feeding Friends: On the 1st and 2nd Thursdays of each month, we assist with the meals at First Baptist Church.  Sign-up sheets are located on the bulletin board in the upstairs foyer.  The following people are signed up to work on Thursday, February 2nd: Steven, Kayla and Emily Lowe, Randy Surratt, Mae Daniels, Linda Hodges, Laura Belk, Mike Gatchel, Cathy and Emma Harrison, Shasta Brown and Amy Sparks.  Please meet at First Baptist at 5:15 p.m.
